Jean-Michel Roger, a contemporary French painter, has dedicated two decades to introducing visually impaired children to the world of visual arts, focusing on essential elements such as masses, lights, shadows, shapes, and voids.

Simultaneously, Roger embarked on his own artistic journey with oil paintings, initially using brushes before swiftly transitioning to a knife for his expressive technique. Since 1990, he has showcased his work in numerous exhibitions across France and Germany.

For Roger, painting serves as a means to imbue his memories, impressions, and dreams with color on canvas, offering viewers a glimpse into their own emotions and experiences. Rather than replicating reality, he interprets, suggests, and invites viewers to escape into alternate realms through his artwork.
