This artwork started life on paper but I decided it was time for a revamp so I trimmed it and stuck it onto a canvas and added more collage including some laser printed photo fragments. It´s inspired by the beautiful village of Frigiliana in the Axarquia region of the Eastern Costa del Sol in Southern Spain.

Collages

Collage is an artistic creation technique that consists of making a plastic creation by combining elements of various kinds: more or less flat materials, such as printed oilcloth, painting or drawing, newspaper extracts with text and photos, paper paintings, documents, various objects of low relief, etc. When the creation incorporates elements in relief, one can also speak of assemblage. This also includes glued papers, which employ a variety of papers, including newspaper, and drawing techniques.

Acrylic

Paint using traditional pigments mixed with synthetic resins.

Ink

A strongly tinted liquid or paste that is used to mark paper or other printable materials. The design is done manually with a slab, feather, brush, or straightener.

Marker

Drawing made using a large felt with its own ink source. The ink may or may not be indelible.

Manipulated Photography

Photograph which has been digitally modified or by another method modifying the original photograph.

My art does not have a particular theme. I am in a period of exploration of form and colour. At the moment I am more drawn to the human figure, be it clothed or nude. However I have begun to investigate abstraction.
