"What You Got" is a mesmerizing exploration of color and motion, capturing the eye with its vigorous display of abstract expressionism. With a lively interplay of blues, whites, grays, and gold, this painting exudes an energetic vitality that evokes both natural and cosmic phenomena. The composition is a symphony of vibrant hues, where paint splatters and drips create a palpable sense of movement and dynamism, much like the unfolding of an intense storm or a cosmic explosion.

The artwork presents a multi-dimensional experience, as swirling patterns and bold lines weave a tapestry of chaos and beauty. The juxtaposition of colors and textures gives the piece a rhythmic quality, suggesting a dance of elements in perpetual motion. Each section of the canvas is alive with the potential for new discovery, inviting viewers to immerse themselves in its shifting narrative.

"What You Got" is a testament to the power of abstraction to evoke emotion and contemplation. While it presents a vivid spectacle to behold, it also encourages a deeper exploration of its underlying themes of chaos, order, and the interplay between energy and stillness. This captivating piece offers a fresh perspective with each viewing and stands as a stunning centerpiece that will engage and inspire all who encounter it.

My work is a synthesis of the intricate, chaotic, and unpredictable; it is a journey through the vivid landscapes of digital media, colorful abstracts, complex fractal manipulations, and digital photography. Although primarily digital, I occasionally venture into the tactile world of traditional media, using acrylic on various supports. I weave shapes, colors, and textures into a narrative that strives to transcend the individual elements and reach something greater than the sum of its parts.

In choosing my subject matter, I gravitate toward non-objective pure abstracts and delve into expressionism, minimalism, and pure color fields. My work often reflects a playful, colorful, and childlike spirit. I explore the dynamic relationships between organic forms, crisp edges, and vivid colors, creating visual stories that evoke curiosity and wonder.

What draws me to a particular scene is the perpetual struggle between the 'thinking' and 'feeling' parts of the mind, each vying for dominance over time. Through my art, I endeavor to appeal to both, touching on themes that range from the mystical to the mundane, from the esoteric to the vulgar, and from the philosophical to the whimsical.

I was born in Waterloo, Iowa, and grew up in its surrounding communities. My academic journey in Art led me to the University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls. My life has been deeply influenced by the landscapes and communities of the upper Midwest, including Iowa, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan, and Illinois. Currently, I reside in Springfield, West Central Illinois, where I continue to find inspiration in the world around me.

I invite viewers to experience the unique fusion of visual elements that define my work. Through a blend of digital mastery and traditional expressions, my art creates a captivating dialogue between form and color, inviting viewers to engage with the chaos and complexity that characterize our world.
