Ici, l'artiste détourne de façon humoristique "Le déjeuner sur l'herbe" de Manet où il se met nu en scène. Il traite l'ensemble avec d'épais à-plats posés de manière vive à la spatule afin de créer une atmosphère dynamique et contemporaine. Au premier plan à gauche un serveur, de dos, apporte des consommations. À l'arrière-plan, une femme en bikini est accroupie dans une mare dont elle agite l'eau. Une autre en maillot une pièce blanc, à droite, discute avec le personnage assis au centre. Le soleil joue sur l'herbe.

.Jean-Paul Schmitt is a professional painter based in the Monts du Lyonnais, France. With nearly thirty years of painting experience, Schmitt initially spent fifteen years as an actor, during which he wrote and staged several plays. He is a member of the Lyons Academy of Painting (ALP), the Regional Association of Arts (ARA), and the Group of Twelve. In addition to his visual art, he integrates texts he writes into his canvases, creating a unique blend of literary and pictorial elements.
