"Sortie de port, un soir d'été". Il s'agit du petit port de la Coudoulière, à Six-Fours-les-Plages, un soir d'été, un peu caniculaire.
Le soleil a chauffé fort, ce jour-là, il est encore de feu, lorsqu'il tombe dans la mer...
Lorsque poésie, émotion et technique se croisent :
Pour le peintre, à cette heure crépusculaire d'été, de confrontation entre chiens et loups, la rencontre des éléments naturels : l'eau, le ciel, la terre, l'air, le feu offrent une palette de couleurs et de contrastes époustouflants.
Si pour chacun de nous le coucher du soleil est un moment "royal", de communion quasi religieuse avec le "naturel", pour l'artiste peintre outre la poésie de l'instant ce peut-être un défi énigmatique à relever.
Pour un aquarelliste particulièrement, un "peintre à l'eau", qui utilise l'eau et le pigment coloré, pour faciliter ou empêcher la fusion des couleurs, et les fixer sur le papier, c'est un travail d'équlibriste, que la nature sait faire "avec maestria", mais complexe à reproduire pour l'humain que nous sommes... Un rouge et un jaune, par transparence ou opacité, offrent des dégradés d'oranges intéressants, presque "faciles"... Mais empêcher qu'un jaune et un bleu, forts nuancés ne virent au vert, ou qu'un rouge sur du bleu ne virent au violet, peuvent devenir un casse-tête périlleux ?... Ou bien encore de la clarté dans l'obscurité... ? "Sol y sombra", comme on dit en terre ibérique, ou bien le "clair-obscur" en terre picturale...

Watercolor

Watercolor is a painting in which gum arabic binds transparent pigments revealing the support of the painting. The gouache, of identical composition, is opaque. A watercolor is a water-based painting on paper. We rarely speak of a painting for a work painted in watercolor. Watercolor paintings are considered to be a unique way to creatively represent dreams, illusions, emotions and luminous feelings using water soluble pigments. However, painting with watercolors can be difficult. It's a difficult medium to master, in large part because it can be ruthless and unpredictable. Mistakes are difficult to correct and its fluid nature makes it difficult to control. Yet it is these very qualities that give the medium its undeniable charm.

Figurative

Figurative and colorful painting having taken the liberty of including all forms of art without border of cultural genre and geographic origin, without hierarchy of values between high and subculture.

Technic Painting

Painting is an art form of painting on a surface by aesthetically applying colored fluids. Painters represent a very personal expression on supports such as paper, rock, canvas, wood, bark, glass, concrete and many other substrates. Work of representation or invention, painting can be naturalistic and figurative, or abstract. It can have narrative, descriptive, symbolic, spiritual, or philosophical content.

Jean-Pierre Missistrano

France

Born in Marseille in 1948, Jean-Pierre Missistrano went to Paris at the age of six.
A magnet to draw from an early age, he began painting around adolescence, his first oil paintings date back to the '65s.
Hesitating between an artistic or medical career, he obtained a diploma of masseur-physiotherapist in 1974 which will constitute his main professional activity.
Exercising in the Paris region until the 2000s he decided to go down to continue in the Var.
The natural light helping, it emerges brushes, follows different courses first in summer school at the National School of Fine Arts in Paris, then Ecole des Beaux Arts La Seyne sur Mer, and also Toulon.
He continues his training with private teachers: Renaud Jobin in Six-Fours, Adrien Coppola in watercolor in Giens, as well as many internships and studies with eminent "masters" in this field.
He participates in various competitions that he finishes very honorably:
- Finalist of the Boesner Aquarelle 2011 national competition, in Bordeaux, with "La felouque sur le Nil"
- Second in the Boesner Acrylic National Contest, 2013, in Lyon, with "The Menara Basin"
- He is officially listed at a charity auction, by auctioneer Aude Ceysson-Ferrari, in 2014, in Fayence.
Its certification will be confirmed and formalized by Jacques-Armand Akoun, official expert, established at € 600 the 15P in 2015 and 2016, revalued at € 700 the 15P in 2017.
- He is selected on international competition to participate in the 1st Tropical Watercolor Festival of IWS Costa Rica, which will take place from 17/9 to 21/9/2018 in San José, with his work "De la Reppe à la mer ", which will represent France and will be exhibited for one month from 17/9 to 19/10/20
