Jean-Marc Tétro is a contemporary Canadian artist known for his exploration of the poetry inherent in life's mechanisms and the psyche. His artistic practice delves into themes such as superposition, assemblage, fractals, and the interplay between matter and consciousness. He focuses on deconstructing and recomposing the icon, as well as the concepts of empty and full as essence.
A self-taught artist, Tétro has acquired skills in electroforming, casting, glass paste, thermoforming, classical drawing and painting, professional welding, bronze casting (lost wax), and mechanical manufacturing. His training has spanned various countries, including Switzerland, England, France, Italy, and the United States, with a significant emphasis on contemporary art history. Tétro's work aims to create environments where matter and consciousness interact, allowing him to update, compose, and act as a witness to the artistic process.
