Jean-Christophe Pazzottu

Né dans une famille où la culture a quelque chose de sacré, étant fils de peintre, j'ai abordé la peinture le plus humblement possible avec une soif d'apprendre intarissable. Bien qu'essentiellement autodidacte, je ne puis m'affranchir de l'influence qu'ont eu sur mon regard les grands maitres de la renaissance italienne et de l'école flamande. Cependant c'est tout de même le hasard des rencontres et l'étude des œuvres originales lors de mes nombreux pèlerinages dans les musées où je pouvais rester une demi journée à n'étudier qu'une seule toile, qui ont eu le plus d'influence sur ma peinture.

Une histoire de proportions                  

                       L'expression de la beauté à elle seule ne me suffit pas, elle peut me séduire, m'influencer, m'illusionner même, tel un trompe l'œil réussi; cependant pour que je la sente vivre, un rapport harmonieux entre la technique et l'authenticité doit s'instaurer...

Born into a family where the culture is something sacred, being the son of a painter, I approached the painting as humbly as possible with an unquenchable thirst for learning. Although primarily self-taught, I can not free myself from the influence that had on my eyes the great masters of Italian Renaissance and Flemish school. But it's still the chance encounters and the study of original works during my many pilgrimages to the museums where I could stay half a day to only study a single canvas, which had the more influence on my painting.

A story of proportions 

The expression of beauty alone is not enough for me, it can seduce me, influence me, even delude me, like a successful trompe l'oeil; however for me to feel alive, a harmonious relationship between technique and authenticity must be established ...
