“GRIP” A sculptural, powerful , iconic object made out of solid bamboo using modern materials and techniques.
The idea was to create an a-typical construction and make that the center of attention.
Gentle Brutalism.
The bamboo surface is sanded smooth to reveal the materials beautiful details.
A natural oil-finish enhances the caramel color and structure.
Bamboo:
A strong, highly sustainable ,flexible, beautiful and renewable material. Bamboo grows without the help of fertilizers. The bamboo tree is mature enough to be cut after three years. The trees are processed into the most environmentally sustainable wood on Earth.

Reoccurring themes and directions of thought are the beauty of multiplicity, the marvel hidden in everyday objects, reinterpretation of icons ,exploring the boundaries of new materials, creating the new from the existing.“
The collection consists of objects, furniture, lighting and functional art, made in small series, limited editions and one-of-a-kind’s.Organically growing and carefully directed.
