"Fine-Arts" prints on paper
It is a process of printing on art paper using very high-quality pigment inks and printed in very high definition. Its level of conservation is exceptional (more than 100 years), its quality, depth, and richness of nuances exceeds the classic photo print on Argentic paper.
Glossy finish
Apart from its exceptional thickness, the fiber paper is composed of an alpha-cellulose base without acid and it is covered with barium sulphate, and a microporous layer absorption enhancing pigments during printing. A pure white color, non-yellowing to light, this paper is especially designed for resistance and aging. It is used by major museums worldwide as it offers excellent resolution, rendering deep and dense colors.

During the horrific wild fires of February 2009 in Victoria AU, the wildlife were in places wiped out, and new species have been reintroduced, however, the new fires have had a huge impact, wherein many thousands of Koalas' were lost as was other species. However out of the horrible tragedy - some are lucky, and this little fellow is one of them; although badly burnt during the fires, "Hissy" - although condemned to a life in the Healesville Sanctuary, life is safe and he appears to be well settled.
The method I used to produce this painting was again with Ampersand Black Scratchboard and watercolour for the tree and leaves for color and ink for the colour of the Koala. Hissy received . Best Drawing in a local art show Exhibition in 2017 and was sold.
The koala is an arboreal herbivorous marsupial native to Australia.

BIO – Jan Lowe, AGRA
Janice Lowe was born in the late 1940’s, has lived in England, New Zealand, Australia and work took her to the US, Canada South Africa, New Zealand, Europe, UK and back to Australia. Changed her professional career from engineering services to a career in something she has loved all her life “Art” and practices as a Professional Artist, exhibitor and teacher in Scratchboard.
As a self-taught artist and when she worked in North America and whilst remote from her AU family, completed a Fine Art Degree to further her development of her passion. Keep learning, and reads, attends demons, exhibitions & workshops.
Over the years, she has been very fortunate that her works have caught the eye of judges and she has won many awards, internationally and nationally. Has had several solo exhibitions and joint exhibitions since 2006 and is to have another solo exhibition in June 2020.
