In keeping with the millennial long, close relationship, with our canine friends, 'Vegvisir' incorporates symbolic elements of talismanic fortitude, (starting with its namesake of course) the ancient nordic symbol of protection and guidance - 'Vegvisir', that is embedded within the piece ( it can only be really seen clearly when one views the piece from an angle, check out the detail pictures and how it was created below for a clearer view)...

Then there are the three interlaced 'Annulets' of ancient Roman origin (subtly interwoven in the blanket our protagonist lies on), symbolising fidelity, as too the cumin flowers depicted on the large cushion, at the top of the piece) unity, strength and trust, with the circle - wholeness, timelessness etc. centered in the middle.
