JACOB KLEYN stands for absolute sincerity in Art.
Following the path inside, the way of individu-ation.
He explores the subjective and existential aspects of
his own life, his own human psyche-soul.
He does not make it very easy for himself this way.
In his works you shall not can find any depictions of objects
or items taken from the surrounding,Global, world.
Neither have they to do with: "expressing our own time " etc.
No nothing of this all.
He makes drawings of universal human figures in a very direct
and 'simple' manner - like stone-age engravings.
Creating significant images ,with a strong and huge impact.
Although they are very personal ,they provides a shock of recognition
and appeals straight to our soul.
