🖌️ Short Artist Biography – Ivan Drumev Ivanov
Ivan Drumev Ivanov is a Bulgarian marine painter and former maritime captain whose deep connection with the sea inspires his oil-on-canvas artworks. Born near the Danube River, he dedicated over 35 years to naval service and international sailing before fully devoting himself to art.
Since 1989, Ivan has embraced the styles of Realism and Romanticism, influenced by the Russian art school. His seascapes and emotional landscapes reflect a lifetime of travel, reflection, and love for nature. His works have been exhibited in Bulgaria and collected worldwide—from Europe to Australia, Asia, and the Americas.
Ivan works exclusively with oil paints on stretched canvas, often finishing his pieces with a handmade frame and certificate of authenticity. His goal is simple:
"To bring beauty, silence, and emotion into the homes and hearts of those who see my art."
