Isabelle Haas is an artist whose passion for art in all its forms blossomed from a very young age. Born with a particular sensitivity for the visual arts and photography, she quickly developed an interest in artistic expression.
At the age of 16, Isabelle made a discovery that had a profound impact on her artistic journey: the work of Germaine Richier. This artistic encounter was a real shock, reinforcing his attraction to sculpture and three-dimensional expression.
The opportunity to make her dream come true came at the age of 18 when she moved to Seville, Spain. There, she was fortunate to receive private modeling lessons from Meña Morillas, a talented sculptor, in the authentic studio she shared with her husband, the painter Paco Broca. This experience was decisive for Isabelle and gave her the certainty that sculpture would be her vocation.
Back in France, she continued her apprenticeship in Tours, where she studied modeling for seven years with the sculptor Marie-Josèphe Stenne. She has explored various facets of sculpture, including the creation of copies, studies with a live model, and free creation.
Isabelle also followed professional training in ornamental stone carving, thus broadening her range of artistic skills.
Drawing on her experience and her passion for sculpture, Isabelle Haas decided to create her own workshop in Montpellier in 2006. This workshop allowed her to pass on her knowledge and her love of art to others, while continuing to to devote himself to his own artistic creations. His unwavering connection to the earth and matter is reflected in his works, which continue to inspire and amaze those who contemplate them.
