Iryna Effert-Kysel

Iryna was born in 1986 in Crimea, Ukraine, and she currently lives and works in Austria. Since 2022, she has been a self-taught artist practicing painting.

I primarily work with acrylic and oil paints, incorporating texture paste and the dripping technique into my creations. My artistic focus lies in hyperrealism and abstract painting.
For me, painting is akin to having a quiet conversation with the world—filled with color, emotion, and freedom.
Much of my inspiration stems from my memories of the Crimean landscape, where I spent my childhood and youth. The sea, mountains, the scent of herbs, and the sense of open space have all profoundly influenced my artistic vision. These experiences blend with my emotions, moments of silence, and observations of the world around me, ultimately reflecting in my artwork.
