My paintings are abstract impressions of a world I have loved and absorbed into my heart hiking alone in the wild. Twelve thousand miles of absolute peace and raw beauty. Months of watching light, seasons, weather, sunsets, sunrises, storms and twilight colour the earth and seas. 

My portraits convey simple naive form, texture and colour. A suggestion of the being only. Each piece about the depth of feeling in the eyes. 

All mediums are used, some in isolation for the whole canvas, many canvases becoming a mixture of oil and acrylic. This allows unique definitions and textures. I layer the paintings for richness and depth. 

I have been a doctor, both in mainstream and alternative medicine. I have always pursued the science and art of true healing. My painting thinks in this way. The brushstrokes follow the lines of nature. The style is naive expressionism, diagnosing' minimal key detail to deliver maximum energy and impact. 

The paintings grow on you over time, compelling you to connect and feel. The best gallery for my art, somewhere you can relax, sit and feel.

l am self taught and a prolific artist. I paint abstract flora, dreamscapes, animal and female portraiture. All influenced by my knowledge of healing, love of nature and connection to the depth and complexity of humanity. 

A unique abstract expressionism. All canvases come only from my imagination, no reference for illustration. Abstracting from my experience and feeling.
