Painting entered my life like a miracle.

I had been very ill for nearly a month, unable to get out of bed. Then, in the midst of that weakness, something clicked in my mind—I need to paint! It was the very first thing I was able to do. In that moment, I felt a deep sense of purpose: to bring calm and harmony into this fragile world. That awakening happened in May 2024.

My main profession throughout life has been as an applied arts artist. I create leather artworks—books and albums—where I always incorporate painting. Under the name Crearting, I have built a long-standing Etsy shop with an excellent reputation, many happy customers, and countless handmade creations in leather and wood. My works have found homes on every continent—except, perhaps, Antarctica!

For many years, I lived in Latvia’s capital, Riga. But in recent times, I’ve found peace in my small home in the forest, not far from the sea. I feel deeply connected to the nature that surrounds me—it’s like we are one. It’s such a joy to witness the changing of the seasons. Here, we are lucky to experience all four: snowy winters, fresh green springs, warm summers, and golden, colorful autumns.

This rhythm of nature and the beauty of the seasons inspire and shape everything I create.
