Ilaria La Preziosa was born in Rome in February 1992. Her acute sensitivity and emotional fragility, exacerbated by the experience of bullying at school, led her to take refuge in the safety of her bedroom. It was in this intimate space that she began an introspective journey, seeking to understand human nature and express her emotions through music and writing. Her room became a sanctuary where she wrote poems and journals, filling a large box with her creations.
Passionate about photography, she has won several competitions, including the prestigious "Manfrotto Imagine More Contest" in 2011, awarded at the Venice Biennale by Violante Placido and Bill Frakes. Despite an early love of drawing, it was a difficult period in her life that pushed her to devote herself entirely to art. Self-taught, she transformed this passion into her main life project, making drawing and painting her main artistic expressions.
The experience of life as a Hikikomori, isolated from the world, was a major challenge for Ilaria. However, thanks to a psychological journey and the discovery of unconditional love for life, she managed to get out of this dark period. Her artistic rebirth began when she discovered God and felt guided. She took various courses around Rome, enriching her artistic practice.
In 2023, she joined the Artificio6 studio, where she explored the art of drawing nudes from life with different models. Today, Ilaria focuses mainly on animals and human portraits, while paying tribute to figures from music and cinema who have marked her career. Her artistic practice is characterized by an impressionist and realist approach, using various materials such as oil on canvas, graphite, and pastel, while drawing inspiration from the diversity of her emotions and life experiences.
