Glossy finish
Apart from its exceptional thickness, the fiber paper is composed of an alpha-cellulose base without acid and it is covered with barium sulphate, and a microporous layer absorption enhancing pigments during printing. A pure white color, non-yellowing to light, this paper is especially designed for resistance and aging. It is used by major museums worldwide as it offers excellent resolution, rendering deep and dense colors.

In Morning Light, Galan presents a stunning vision of daybreak, marked by the emergence of a winged woman who stands as a personification of dawn. Her ethereal form glows against a backdrop of soft morning hues, symbolizing a transition from darkness to light. To her side, two elegant statues appear like sentinels from a bygone era, embodying classical beauty and timelessness. Their stillness contrasts with the energy of the central figure, adding layers of meaning to the scene.
The painting’s lower register reveals a darker, more dramatic contrast. A cloaked figure reaches out, his movements filled with an enigmatic urgency. Beside him, a red-cloaked man stands defiantly against a bull-headed creature, capturing a moment of silent confrontation. This dynamic interplay between figures creates a narrative of struggle and awakening, evoking questions of destiny, conflict, and change.
Galan’s mastery of color and texture is evident throughout, as he seamlessly blends soft pastels with deeper tones, enhancing the dreamlike atmosphere of the composition. Morning Light is both visually stunning and thematically complex, inviting viewers to immerse themselves in its layered storytelling. The painting has found a collector, but the artist is open to creating new works that echo the themes and style of this unique piece.
