One would think it's a scene from a tropical country with the turquoise blue and green waters of the calm ocean yet it's one of the spectacular beaches on the Devon coast, a favourite by British and foreign visitors. I kept the hillside buildings only suggestive as they weren't my main focus. The distant shoreline has been reduced to just one line of dark shadows to contrast with the translucent shallow water. A cheerful scene to brighten up any room or anyone's mood.

I aim to bring forth feelings of happiness and positive energy with my colourful watercolour paintings inspired by nature. I paint what I see and see the natural world around me as an extension of my inner self. As a visually impaired artist, caused by a condition called blepharospasm, my latest paintings focus more on colour harmonies and overall feel of the subject rather than details. After two years of hopelessness I managed to get back into painting and I found great comfort in doing so. Although I had many years of art education both in my native Hungary and here in the UK, I am a self-taught watercolorist.
