Atelier De Bel is a project by Hugo De Bel.
After more than 30 years being commercially active as an advisor and supplier to creative interior and furniture manufacturers in the Benelux and France in realising their creations, Hugo now designs and creates his own works of art.
• Digital Art, Hugo creates a contemporary reductive style influenced by Pop art artists such as Roy Lichtenstein and Julian Opie.
• Expressive cubist objects. These objects are unique pieces or limited series where the finish of each object can be completely different.
• Collectible Design. Design of limited edition furniture objects in which cubist volumes are processed into an artistic object, while it always remains a usable piece of furniture.
• Abstract paintings made with oil or acrylic paint on various supports from canvas to wood where no challenges in finish or form are avoided.
Being creative is the passion that drives him. He is therefore constantly looking to create in design, objects or art.
