Né en 1966, grandissant entre les Landes et les Charentes, Hervé Espinosa est un passionné de nature et de grands espaces. Après l’océan de ses années d’enfance, c’est, à 16 ans, la découverte de la montagne. Grimpeur, skieur, alpiniste (il est encadrant au Club Alpin Français), il ne cesse
d’arpenter les sommets, à la recherche de la lumière et de l’émotion justes.
Peintre aquarelliste autodidacte, il s’attache à retranscrire toutes ces expériences vécues dans des peintures dans lesquelles il associe la minutie de l’observation à l’évidence du geste. Il enseigne aujourd’hui la création graphique et l'aquarelle dans son atelier "Au fil de l'eau".

Démarche
« Un tableau commence toujours par une rencontre avec l’espace. D'une simple randonnée à pied ou à ski, ou d’une course d'alpinisme, naît l'inspiration du peintre contemplatif. La peinture n'est pas la simple description d'un lieu : elle raconte l'aventure d'un moment, elle donne à voir les émotions nées de cette expérience. Un rayon de lumière qui se lève entre les arbres, un fossé qui se creuse au détour d'un chemin, le vent balayant une arrête de montagne…
Alors commence le travail du peintre. Les premiers croquis donnent naissance à une série d’études initiales. Puis, autour du sujet que ma main et mon esprit ont finalement retenu, les formats grandissent. Travail incessant qui vise à libérer le geste. Celui qui, posé sur le papier saura raconter le lieu où j'aime vivre. »
