Hélène Galante's work is a continuous reflection on the visual perception of limits: between spaces, between colors, between techniques and forms that define an artistic genre, and the question "that do we see? " always seems to be suspended.
Each painting releases an emotion through contained questioning, dreaming in front of an immersive landscape that will have to be mentally reconstructed, aided by the pure colors and infinitely declined by the water medium, and the internal lights at work. The ubiquitous choice of paper, most often mounted on canvas, is combined with a technically unique gesture because it is made with ink thrown without possible repentance; invisible gesture, given by large brushes which make the whole thing resemble the Asian pictorial tradition while avoiding a desire for immediate identification of the representation.
It is then necessary to allow oneself to be impregnated by what one sees, to be contemplative.
From this experience is born a feeling of plenitude, of visual harmony, which is also what research Hélène Galante.
