1982 Beginn der Portrait-Rreihe (Bonze) "Köpfe der Zeit".
Arbeiten von Kurt Arentz befinden sich im Museum für Europäische Kunst in Nörvenich, im Schöneberger Rathaus in Berlin, auf der Fraueninsel im Chiemsee, im Weißen Haus in Washington, im Museum of European Art in New York, des weiteren an Plätzen in Los Angeles, Bonn, Metz, Epinal, Tokio, Houston und in vielen privaten und öffentlichen Sammlungen.
Kurt Arentz erhielt in 1986 die Bronzemedaille bei Wildtier und Umwelt und den DJV Kulturpreis 1987. Am 11.01.2001 wurde ihm das Bundesverdienstkreuz verliehen.
