Universitätsprofessor und Direktor der Klinik für innere Medizin und Nephrologie Marburg. Mitbegründer des Transplantationszentrums Marburg (Niere 1972, später auch Bauspeicheldrüse). 1984 Umzug der Klinik in das Neubauklinikum der Universtität Marburg auf den Lahnbergen. Seit 2002 im Ruhestand.
