A man who won the hearts of collectors in New York with his painting skills and artistry in 2005 during a solo exhibition at Agora Gallery.
The man in question is a self-taught, inborn amazing talent, a genius of glazing painting, Grzegorz Król.
He prepares his canvases for years before he starts painting. Hand-prepared primer, laboriously applied in 15 layers, and each of them is precisely sanded.
As a result, the painting canvas achieves the smoothness of a mirror surface.
Only then does he begin to paint. His paintings are created over the years, refined in every detail.
When the oil painting is ready, Grzegorz Król starts working on its binding. All his paintings are framed in wooden frames, which he prepares from scratch. He chooses the wood himself, cuts it himself, ferzes it himself, giving it a decorative character and paints it himself with great precision.
Unfortunately, the photos of his oil paintings do not reflect the impression, craftsmanship and emotions even in 20%.

Born in Szczebrzeszyn in 1957, died on December 12, 2024, at the age of 67.
I have always been fascinated by the nature of the Szczebrzeszyn area, the Roztocze forests, nearby fields and meadows. I grew up on the picturesque Wieprz River, and from my childhood years I watched its slow degradation.
So far, the artist from Szczebrzeszyn has exhibited his works, among others, in Germany, Austria, the Netherlands, the United States, France, and Król organized his last exhibition at the National Museum of the Academy of Fine Arts in St. Petersburg (Russia).
His paintings are in the collections of the most distinguished people around the world, they decorate the walls of modern villas, they are majestic, arouse admiration and respect.
