When I discovered clay in 1991, I let myself be enveloped by the serenity that working with clay offers. This fusional alchemy brought me a freedom of artistic expression that I never imagined I possessed at the time.
For years, I mainly created decorative and sometimes even utilitarian ceramics, while learning a very wide range of different techniques, each as impressive as the next.
In 2010, I turned to clay sculpture. Since then, I have been shaping pure forms, sometimes figurative/stylized, sometimes abstract. The combination of generous curves and lines gives my sculptures a graceful balance with a contemporary aesthetic. As for the finish, it is intended to be sober but refined. Most often, the material is bare, highlighted and patinated by natural pigments. More rarely, my pieces are covered with a thin layer of satin resin.
Alongside sculpture, in 2018 I started creating composition paintings. I use plants, minerals, papier-mâché, acrylic paint, hardening earth, varnish and resin, etc...
A real discovery but always with the same passion and a lot of pleasure.
