Les deux premiers caractères sont denses et compressés (davantage le deuxième), puis le pinceau se détend et s'asséche au niveau du troisième, continue de s'assécher et s'élargit au quatrième (une respiration plus vaste; ce caractère possède en lui la signification de la respiration).

L'intérêt pour la civilisation chinoise m'a amené à découvrir sa langue et ses idéogrammes; celles-ci m'ont amené à me saisir de pinceaux et à tracer glisser fouetter à l'encre de chine.
