Yet, Gina resists simple classification. “It’s said that a picture paints a thousand words,” she muses. “But I prefer to let my paintings speak for themselves.” Although her work could be loosely described as figurative expressionism, Gina rejects the confines of labels, viewing them as an imposition that curtails the freedom and potential inherent in fluidity. “In fluidity lies freedom and hope,” she says, “and a future unburdened by hard definitions. For me, art is a living entity—it should never feel finite, but rather, continuous, evolving.”
