AZTEQUE Painting by Gilles Cabrol

Born in January 1953, he studied medicine in Nice and moved to Opio in 1981, a practice he combined with diplomas in communication and humanist therapies.
After a break from 1998 to 2001 for humanitarian missions, he returned to Le Rouret in 2002.
At the same time, he illustrates the "Hyde" side of his personality through various artistic expressions in which painting plays an increasing role: sketched out in adolescence, it has been refined and singularized over the years, to come today to the forefront of his creativity. It is part of an abstract expressionism where the formal balance and harmony of his acrylic canvases compensate for the sometimes chaotic origin of his sources.
In an atmosphere of signs, curved or straight lines, where the quest for the ultimate blue predominates, biographical imprints and themes of the modern world that surround him intertwine.
The double helix of the DNA of GC's life is to transmit and create, the second strand generating identity, novelty and movement: it is freedom, where knowledge ends.
