40 x 40 x 1.5 inches large blue painting of an underwater seascape with a lone fish. The fish is swimming purposefully over the sandy seabed. Behind her is the deep blue water in the distance and above her the water rises to the aqua blues and turquoise colours near the surface of the water. Some of the sky can also be seen as well as gentle waves and lots of sparkles of light. On the surface of the seabed are the fleeting light patterns made by the sun as its beams are reflected around constantly by the movement of the restless water. The little tropical fish is happy in her space - intent on her own adventure in a big blue sea. I painted it as another in a series of lone fish paintings but each one is nevertheless different. This painting is for those people who are brave enough to go their own way despite what others may think. On deep edge canvas, white edges, no frame necessary.

Gill Bustamante, a contemporary British painter, is renowned for her distinctive artistry that breathes life into large semi-abstract oils on canvas, drawing inspiration from the wonders of nature. Specializing in creating expansive semi-abstract landscape, seascape, and wildlife paintings, Gill has carved out a unique style that seamlessly blends art-nouveau, impressionist, and semi-abstract techniques with a touch of traditional portraiture. Her artistic vision is deeply rooted in a profound love for nature, animals, birds, and the rich flora and fauna that grace the landscapes surrounding her.

Central to Gill's creative process is a method she terms 'memory impressionism.' This approach involves immersing herself in nature, going for walks to observe and absorb the essence of the landscapes, and then returning to her studio to translate those experiences onto canvas. The result is a collection of artworks that capture the echoes and essences of the places she explores, often including the wildlife encountered during her walks. This distinctive method allows Gill to convey the feelings and impressions she has about these locations, offering viewers a glimpse into the profound connection she shares with the natural world. Gill Bustamante's artistic focus extends to the ancient landscapes of England, and her paintings frequently reflect the spiritual elements inherent in such revered locales.
