Biography
Gift Osague Osagiede b.1998 is a multi-disciplinary artist who graduated from Auchi Polytechnic, Auchi and specializes in painting and fashion design. Her works confronts the limitations of societal expectations while simultaneously challenging patriarchal constraints in the Nigerian community through the use of mixed-media compositions. As a full time studio artist, Gift channel her creativity and skills into thought-provoking pieces using discarded fabrics, acrylic and other related mediums to discuss her subject. She had her first solo exhibition titled “The search for freedom “ at Gemini Art gallery in Lagos Nigeria and have also participated in various group exhibitions both locally and international.
