Гия Курдиани родился в Сванети, Грузии, в 1963 году. С детства он нарисовал и был учеником знаменитого грузинского художника Ираклия Парджиани (1950-1991 годы).
Окончил Академию искусств Тбилиси - факультет декоративных искусств. Учащиеся в Академии, он участвовал в студенческих выставках много раз. С 1987 года - член Союза художников Грузии.

После 30-летнего перерыва успешный бизнесмен вернулся к его настоящему призванию - арт. А с 2015 года он создал ряд картин и графических работ.
Картины и графические работы сделаны в разных стилях - символизм, фигуратив, минимализм, современный импрессионизм, модернизм. Яркие цвета и смелые цветовые комбинации напоминают Грузию, прозрачность горных ландшафтов Сванетии, неповторимость суровой красоты Кавказа.
