Jakle's medium is chaulk pastel on paper, fabric or stretched canvas. Execution is precise and delicate in complementary contrast to the often coarse irregular surface of the canvas.
Jakle terms himself a surrealist. His work is both realistic and ephemeral, playing light against shadow and saturated color against desaturated.
