Gennadi Kurlenkov, a contemporary painter from Estonia, was born in 1954 in Belarus. His artistic journey began with his education at LGPI and later at Herzen, where he specialized in the art-graphic faculty.
From 1986 to 1991, Kurlenkov shared his passion for art as an art teacher in high schools and art schools, notably serving in Ivangorod. In 1991, he assumed the role of Director at Narva Art School, where he continued to nurture young talents and foster a vibrant artistic community.
Kurlenkov's artistic talent garnered recognition early in his career, earning him the exhibitor diploma for his works in Moscow in 1987. He further showcased his artistry through exhibitions with renowned companies such as TOHIN, Circle, and Vestervalli in Estonia and Russia.
The artist's international acclaim expanded with his participation in the Mogilev plein airs in Belarus in 1997 and 1999, cementing his status as a distinguished figure in the art world. In 2006, Kurlenkov became a proud member of the Union of Painters of Estonia, further solidifying his commitment to the Estonian artistic community.
In 2006, Kurlenkov took on the role of curator and exhibitor for artists in Ida-Viru, showcasing their talents at the Rakvere Museum in Rakvere. He has also held numerous personal exhibitions in cities such as Narva, Ahtme, Sillamae, and Tartu, captivating audiences with his distinctive style and evocative compositions.
Kurlenkov's works adorn private and museum collections across Estonia, Russia, Belarus, Finland, Germany, Sweden, France, and the USA, a testament to the universal appeal and enduring legacy of his art.
