The face of the mask is adorned with intricate carvings, which expertly emphasize every line and angle. Dark and brooding, the mask conveys a palpable sense of danger and mystique. The use of texture and shadows adds depth, enhancing the hypnotic power of the mask's presentation.
Geil John's attention to detail is prevalent in every aspect of Obsidian, from the carefully considered design through to the carving techniques expertly employed. The result is a mask that is both captivating to behold and artistically outstanding, a welcome addition to any art connoisseur's collection.
The name "Obsidian" simply adds to the mask's allure. As a dark, volcanic glass, it's a fitting title that adds to the sense of mystery and intrigue. Whether displayed on a wall or used in a performance, Geil John's Obsidian is a testament to his artistic vision and skill, a powerful work of art that is sure to dazzle and captivate viewers for years to come.

Born into a family of renowned blacksmiths in Karaganda City, Kazakhstan, I was fascinated with the expressive beauty of bronze sculpture from an early age. As the second of eight siblings, I inherited my family's passion for working with fire, which is considered a sacred symbol of selectness in our culture. My love for capturing gesture, emotion, and attitude led me to pursue a bachelor's degree in Art from the University of California, Los Angeles.
After completing my education, I returned to my homeland and founded a workshop studio in Astana, where I could continue to explore my creative spirit and produce original bronze sculptures. With each piece, I applied great care and attention to detail, resulting in unique works that come with a certificate of authenticity.
While I mainly exhibit my sculptures in Europe and Asia, they can be found on every continent. Through my work, I aim to spark inspiration and evoke emotional responses in those who view them.
