About the Gallery
Down south of the Philippines, in the sunny city of Davao, is an unpretentious art gallery which offers an eclectic blend of works by renowned and up-and-coming Filipino artists from Manila, Cebu, Davao and other parts of the country. Its home in a quaint residential neighborhood is a quiet intimate space where one can find an array of styles and genre of paintings; which feature a broad spectrum of subject. Some of GALLERY J's notable artists are: Manila-based painters - Malang, Cris Cruz, Olazo, the late Onib Olmedo, Gabuco, Ephraim Samson, Lydia Velasco, and some members of the Saturday Group of Artists; Cebu-based artists - Kiamko and Celso Pepito; Davao-based painters - Lito Pepito, Boboy Buenaventura, Alan Obeso and AA Pena. GALLERY J's business philosophy is simple: To offer a wide variety of world-class art at the best value.

One-man Art Exhibit at the Mall
Gallery J has been a beehive of art activities since it opened in 2002. Art exhibitions are held regularly at its gallery in a leading mall in Davao City and while private viewings are welcome at its main gallery. Artists that hold exhibits at Gallery J hail from Davao, Manila, Cebu and other places in the Phillipines. One such show is the one-man exhibit of Davao artist Bong Espinosa held last 2004 at Gallery J's outlet in one of the malls in Davao.
Four Manila Artists in Davao
More and more artists prefer to exhibit their works in mall venues because they can bring their art closer to the masses so, more people can appreciate and own them. Gallery J's mall outlet is a favorite exhibit place of artists from Davao, Manila, Cebu and other parts of the country. This photo was taken prior to the opening of "Four in Davao" an art show that showcased the works of four well-known Manila artists - Bing Siochi, Ernie Patricio, Harry Torres and Kit Ello. Their exhibit was a roaring success.
Transition II
Renowned Davao artist, Lito Pepito, held his 13th Solo Exhibit at Gallery J's display area in the biggest mall of Davao. Many guests came to view the show which ran for almost a month. In the photo is the artist entertaining guests to his exhibit. Pepito is just one of the many artists whose works have been staged by Gallery J. Todate, Gallery J has mounted 8 solo exhibits and 16 group shows.

Gallery J is a small yet dynamic gallery that offers a wide range of paintings to suit various tastes in art. The gallery is situated in a quaint neighborhood. The gallery itself is an intimate quiet space where works of established and emerging artists can be found.

Davao Tri-Hill Art Club
Four inexhaustible Davao Artists heeded a call for art adventure, headed for the boondocks and experienced pure, all-sensory creative boost and a re-discovery of limitless drawing possibilities. The result, a four-man exhibit in Dec. of 2005 held at Gallery J. These four - Lito Pepito, Roger Paconla, Jurie Jaime & Ging Balinas - may have very different personalities and painting styles. But the one thing they have in common is the love for the great outdoors.
