Born in Budapest Hungary. Studied Fine Art from Contemporary Hungarian Masters such as Barna, Göllner, Somogyi and Rudovics. Rigorous early training helped him to lay the groundwork for Classical Drawing and Painting as well as Sculpting. In the late fifties he emigrated to Toronto, Canada. He continued his Art Studies at the OCA. By the early sixties he became a successful Illustrator. He received professional recognition from the Art Director Clubs of Toronto, Montreal, New York and Los Angeles. Collecting many awards. Collaborated with such notables as Theo Dimson, Arnaud Maggs, Louis Fishauff and John Seebert. In 1968 returned to Europe for a short time. Worked in Germany for Magazines such as TWEN and STERN. While in Germany he designed a Title Piece for LOOK Magazine’s now classic: Richard Avedon’s “ Beattles” Photo Collection . At TWEN he got to know the work of Heinz Adelman of “Yellow Submarine” fame. An Animated Feature Film about the “Beattles”. Fascinated by Animation, upon returning to Canada was working more and more in the Film Media. Worked with top Animation Studios in Toronto such as CINERA, NELVANA, HANHO in Seoul,
South Korea. Moved to Montreal, and worked with CRAYON Animation and CINE GROUP, until was offered a job in Vancouver, at the WALT DISNEY ANIMATION INC.as an Art Director and remained there until the company closed it’s doors in Canada.
He now lives in Vancouver and concentrates his Creative Energies on Paintings and the West Coast.
