I look for design in Nature. No object exists on it’s own and beauty happens in the interaction of things with other things…Colors with other colors…Sometimes there is nothing… But that too can have a meaning.
However sometimes Life presents us with many a splendid things and we are overwhelmed. …We say Oh that’s great! Or …OH! That’s interesting!
And yet when we examine it, we discover that we only like just a part of that whole!
I try to focus on “That” in my work. I usually come in close and just do that which I think is Germaine to the essence of the thing.
Interactions of varying elements are what creates the dynamics of an image.
Furthermore great deal of experimentation with photographic and computer images, lead me to believe that we can change the emotional content of images
by varying their Optical qualities.
By working with these parameters, applying varying degrees of softness or detail for instance, one can evoke different Emotional Levels in the Viewer.
I find these methods Exciting and very Rewarding in Painting!
