L'automate N° 5-29 est monté sur un socle en acajou et un plateau en cubes de mélèze de bout. Son buste est constitué d'aluminium, de laiton, de bronze, d'inox et de verre. Sa tête et ses mains sont en étain. Il fonctionne avec trois moteurs et des lumières intermittentes. Dans son mouvement, il semble interroger une boule de cristal à l'intérieur de laquelle est logé un automate miniature symbolisant la danse de deux êtres amoureux.
