Franco Bressanutti — Art Director & Visual Artist
I’m Franco Bressanutti, a visual designer and art director with solid experience in visual communication, graphic design, and creative direction. My career has developed along a transversal path that embraces design, art, and sport — in a constant dialogue between aesthetics and function, between emotion and structure.
Over the years, I have collaborated with major sports and institutional organizations, curating projects for Udinese Calcio, Juventus, APU Udine, FIBA, and Triestina Calcio. Each assignment is, for me, an opportunity to translate complex identities into clear, powerful, and recognizable visual languages. My vision is rooted in a design approach that goes beyond decoration — it’s storytelling: every mark, every color choice, every composition has meaning, a purpose, a narrative function.
Alongside my work in the sports industry, I have cultivated a personal research practice focused on balancing design precision with expressive freedom. My aesthetic is influenced by modernism, industrial design, pop culture, and visual subcultures, with a particular focus on the iconography of speed, dynamism, and brand identity.
My creative process brings together the analytical mindset of a designer and the sensitivity of a visual artist. I’m fascinated by the transformation of ideas into tangible experiences — whether it’s a visual identity, an exhibition system, a packaging concept, or a broader visual narrative. I often work by subtraction: removing the superfluous to reach the essence.
I’m constantly seeking cross-pollination between disciplines, languages, and materials. I believe in the power of design as a form of culture, memory, and impact. I don’t see rigid boundaries between art and design — both, in my view, are meant to interpret the present and give shape to the invisible.
Today, I continue to work as a freelance art director, supporting brands, cultural institutions, and independent projects. At the same time, I carry forward an autonomous visual research practice, expressed through exhibitions, collaborations, and personal explorations. Among these, Velocità Sigillata — a collection of “visual ingots” celebrating the iconography of speed through objects suspended between art, design, and memory — stands as one of my most intimate and recognizable expressions.
Feel free to contact me for collaborations, creative projects, or simply to connect with my visual world. For me, aesthetics is always a point of departure — never a point of arrival.
