Ancien sérigraphe, je suis passionné par les techniques d'impression artisanales, obsolètes, ou développées par le pédagogue Célestin Freinet : hectographie, imagerie au pochoir d'Epinal à l'aquatype, tampons en bois du Rajasthan, vitrographie, etc. En sus d'une certaine appétence pour les expériences de « science amusante », je m'intéresse à l'iconographie médiévale (Ars moriendi), aux procédés des pionniers de la photographie tels que le collodion humide et à l'optique (camera lucida, Tilt-shift). Après un stage de fabrication de papier à la cuve chez Christophe Chomant - éditeur à Rouen - suivi par quelques mois de collaboration avec l'Atelier TTT sur l'aérodrome de Saint-Cyr-l'Ecole (où j'ai eu la chance de tester une presse typographique Niel & Valuet de 1870) et enfin une formation en taille-douce (gravure sur cuivre et Tetra Pak®, technique au lait condensé sucré, etc.) à l'Ecole supérieure des arts et industries graphiques, j'ai intégré Les Amis de l'imprimé populaire. J'y ai contribué à la redécouverte de la lithographie sur papier de verre, co-animé des ateliers dans des bars, tout en testant le cliché-verre au feutre inactinique et le dessin à l'eau de javel sur papier Canson® noir.
