Francine Bois, born in 1949, lives and works in France. A passionate artist, she devotes herself mainly to ink on paper and oil on canvas. His style is figurative, often imbued with cartoonish touches and illustration. She draws her inspiration from masters such as Bonnard, Utrillo, Doisneau and Brassaï.
Since the age of seven, colors have thrilled Francine, and although she has worked in other fields, she has never stopped drawing and painting. For her, color and drawing are as essential as sleeping, drinking and eating. The Paris of her youth remains an inexhaustible source of inspiration, particularly in the street, market and café scenes where she finds her roots.
Francine Bois also likes to paint from her own photographs, particularly mountain landscapes where she has lived for many years, as well as mountain flora, which she considers an inexhaustible source. She also likes to try her hand at copying the works of famous painters, with a predilection for Gauguin and Le Douanier Rousseau.
His work is distinguished by a vibrant use of colors and a unique style that combines varied influences. Francine Bois continues to explore and express her artistic universe through her creations, inspiring those who discover her works.
