Liefde voor schoonheid is wat mij drijft. Ik hou ervan om momenten in mijn leven en omgeving vast te leggen. Soms als documentatie of herinnering, vaak als het vangen van de liefde die in het moment besloten is. Het gaat er niet om telkens naar perfectie te streven, vaak is die juist te vinden in de imperfectie van het wereldse bestaan. Op die manier is alles perfect en rest alleen de zoektocht naar schoonheid.
Ik maak plaatjes, vaak in de vorm van fotobewerking maar ook regelmatig in verstilde afdrukken van een moment in de natuur. Het licht dat juist zó valt en de schaduwen die dat veroorzaakt, het kan me eeuwig boeien en dit soort plaatjes laat ik vaak ongemoeid. Andere momenten zijn gevangen beweging die ik in een buitenruimtelijke omgeving geplaatst heb om zo het moment nog verder te verstillen. Dit zijn verhalen die verteld worden buiten het brein om, in een gecodeerd uitgedrukt gevoel.
