Evaristo Abraham Cruz Alias “Varo” es de origen Puertorriqueño de 55 años de edad. Ya a la edad de 7 años se interesa por las artes; especialmente la pintura.
A la edad de 17 años su interés se convierte en pasión y es en este momento que comienza a ser guiado por su formal maestro Rolando Borges quien lo inicialmente en técnicas, apreciación y ejecución.
Más tarde en 1985 pasa la prueba inicial en la Escuela de Artes Plásticas de San Juan del Instituto de Cultura Puertorriqueña e inicia estudios bajo los maestros Ángel Nevares, Julio Suarez, Jean Pierre Rossatti, Franz Cervone, Haydee Landing entre otros grandes exponentes del arte Puertorriqueño.
Luego sigue por medios experimentales y autodidácticos hasta el día de hoy observando obras en los museos obras de toda técnica y género.
Actualmente está en una etapa evolutiva de experimentación para afinar su propio lenguaje plástico.
