Escals Design, also known as Lorraine Baudelaire, is a ceramic designer passionate about innovation and sustainable design. Graduated with a master's degree in innovative materials and sustainable design from the École de Condé Nice, she also obtained a bachelor's degree in product design from the same institution.
Her work is imbued with her wonder for the world of design, in particular for light, which she explores through the creation of lighting fixtures and the meticulous choice of colors and materials. She places great importance on details, which she captures through material photography.
His final thesis focused on the notion of regeneration, with a particular interest in the revaluation of algae for purposes useful to humans. This research led her to develop lampshades from algae waste, thus offering an ecological and sustainable alternative to products from the petrochemical industry.
