Ernesto Crespo García is a contemporary Spanish artist whose creative journey has been shaped by a rich blend of cultural influences and family inspiration. Born in Spain but spending his entire childhood in Alquízar, a small town south of Havana, Cuba, Crespo grew up in a nurturing environment that emphasized creativity and innovation. His family, especially his parents and grandparents, played a pivotal role in fostering his artistic instincts, encouraging resourcefulness in crafting toys and school accessories during challenging times.

Crespo attributes his artistic awakening to his father, a carpenter, whose ability to transform simple logs into furniture captivated him as a child. His mother has also been a constant source of support throughout his artistic endeavors.

Crespo began his formal art education at the Eduardo Abela Academy in San Antonio de los Baños, Artemisa, before completing his degree at the prestigious San Alejandro Academy in Havana. In 2016, he pursued further studies in Scenic Design at the Higher Institute of Art (ISA) in Havana. Seeking to expand his artistic horizons, Crespo completed a master's degree in art and design in 2022 in Barcelona, alongside his wife, Flavia Fuentes.

Now based in El Escorial, Madrid, Crespo continues to explore and develop his artistic practice, drawing from his diverse experiences and cultural heritage. His work reflects the innovative spirit instilled during his formative years, merging craftsmanship, design, and a deep appreciation for artistic transformation.
