The majority of people staying in my neighbourhood are Indians .I also believe that they are the most powerful in terms of properties .They live in the most porsche surburbs of South Africa .Mayfair is surrounded by Mosques for these people's religious services .There is also a good percentage of people from Bangladesh and Pakistan .Many of these operate small businesses in the area .The black people found in my area are most probably domestic workers mainly women .The women come from a near-by squatter-camp along the railway line to Soweto ( South-Western Townships )
Most of these maids are Zimbabweans and Malawians .Most of these maids get married to near-by men who do cheap labour works such as gardening and cleaning .One can walk ,ride a train of hike a taxi to get to Johannesburg Art Gallery in the square-mile from Mayfair .I usually walk and on my way ,I pass through the B.P.Park in the hood where male foreigners seek employment .Off-loading containers and rubble-removals are the types of jobs found on a part-time basis .The containers will be coming from Durban and Cape Town .The people seeking work usually survive on stale bread that the shop-owners will be ridding of and sometimes fresh food from well-wishers like those who came from there but have now made it .This is...
