From the time I was born in 1962 in Carlisle, Pennsylvania,
I think I’ve been a free spirit, full of curiosity about
our world and the people who live in it. I believe in the
innate beauty in all things, from the mundane to the
extraordinary. If you simply open your heart and mind you
will see what your eyes miss on the surface. Only then will
you truly become a part of this wonderful world we live in.
I believe in being a participant, not a bystander. This is
what I live by in all aspects of my life. Carpe Diem!!!
I have spent my life learning all I can about art, from
being self-taught, to various schools to workshops all over
the country. What I've learned mostly is that I love to
learn new things and I'll never stop learning as long as I
can still breathe. I absolutely love to draw and paint, and
work with my hands making pottery, wood, metal, and found
object sculptures, stained glass panels, or creating art
using any number of digital programs. As long as I am
creating work that stimulates people to look and feel what
lies beyond the surface, then I've succeeded in my task as
an artist.
