Sylvie Veisseire is a contemporary French painter. She finds her scenes in everyday life: scenes taken on the spot at the bend of a beach, a café terrace or any other place. Her characters do not pose, she likes to capture them in a very ordinary gesture that reveals them a little. Her painting oscillates between the influence of the Nabis whose intimist character she appreciates and American neo-realism whose narrative efficiency she likes.
