Suzi Carvalho is a contemporary Brazilian sculptor. Her journey in sculpture began at the age of six when a public sculpture profoundly impacted her life. From that moment, she started creating with various materials such as clay, soap, school play dough, terracotta, bronze, and stone, never ceasing her artistic endeavors. She studied Fine and Performing Arts and completed a postgraduate degree in Fine Arts. Carvalho spent several years researching materials and working with different sculptors in various studios until she discovered how to translate her soul's vision into her creations.

Caciporé Torres, a renowned sculptor, significantly influenced Carvalho with his work and life, providing her with the strength and inspiration to pursue her chosen path, even during difficult times. In her sculpting process, she does not draw, sketch, or create models. Her creations emerge directly from her mind, shaping steel and iron frames coated and modeled with resin. After polishing, these pieces are either completed or cast in bronze.

Carvalho's creative process is the most fulfilling part of her day, making her feel alive and free as if a greater force guides her hands and thoughts. In addition to sculpture, she also engages in drawing, watercolor painting, oil on canvas, and acrylic on canvas. Her paintings, like her sculptures, are born fully formed in her mind and come to life on the canvas.

In her studio, which becomes her world, shapes appear naturally as if by magic, with music being her only companion. Depending on the stage of creation, she chooses rhythms that resonate with her energy: strong and vibrant music like Pink Floyd, The Doors, Janis Joplin, Yes, and Led Zeppelin at the beginning, and calming New Age music like Enya, Loreena McKennitt, Sarah Brightman, and Emma Shapplin towards the end. At the conclusion of her creative process, she takes a moment to say goodbye to her finished works, accompanied by her dog, Choppim.
